Minnie's Bowtique Birthday Party

I know I say this every year, but how in the world is my baby girl three years old?!?!? Seriously...where has the time gone??? Claire is the sweetest, spunkiest little girl ever and has taught me so much more than I can ever possibly imagine teaching her. She made me a mother and continues to make me strive to be a better human being every single day. Words will never be able to express my love and amazement for her! Ok, before I start bursting into tears, here are the details of her Minnie Mouse Bowtique-themed birthday party that we recently threw for her. Have I mentioned I love any excuse for a themed party???

I found the cutest, matching, Minnie outfits for Claire and her sister, but A- it was SO cold for our outdoor party (at the end of June, mind you), that we had to cover Claire's up with a hoodie and leggings and B-baby sister pooped all over her adorable outfit moments before the party began. Never a dull moment in my life! Thank goodness for the cute headbands!

No birthday is complete without a good, birthday banner! I used the Mickey Cricut cartridge for the bows and the Alphalicious cartridge for the letters. The bows were glued to purple ribbon and hung in front of the backdrop I purchased at Wal-Mart.

The Mickey Cricut cartridge came in handy tremendously for these gift bags, which I made using black bags purchased at Hobby Lobby and attached a bow and ears created by the Cricut. The hair bows were far too girly for the boys at this party, so I simply made theirs bowties and they got the "Mickey-version" gift bags.

My sister created the adorable Mickey heads using small and large Styrofoam balls, which I placed into cylinder vases with pink and purple paper shred. Word to the wise, do NOT try to spray paint Styrofoam!!! It will shrivel and die, which is no bueno! Instead, use a foam brush and acrylic paint. You won't regret it! I also used black and white, Gerber daisies and placed them in vases with paper shred for extra funsies!

How cute is this cake?!?! A friend of the family created this adorable confection of deliciousness for the big day!

I created this door hanger to greet party guests as they entered using a cardboard number, acrylic paint, and paper (and yes, the ears and bow were also created using the Mickey Cricut cartridge. Thanks so much for noticing!). And maybe its just the teacher in me, but I strongly think that chalkboards make everything better...Hence the chalkboard sign greeting guests as they entered the party!

 Happy 3rd birthday, my love!!!

Frozen Birthday Party

I have no idea how, but, before my very eyes, my sweet niece Camdyn is turning 4! Crazy!!! Like most four-year-old girls her age, she is completely obsessed with Frozen, so her party theme was a no-brainer. What was not so simple, however, were all of the little details her mom put into this adorable party for all of us to enjoy! Check out all of the funsies in the pics below...

The almost four-year-old humoring her aunt by taking a picture by her food table

Drink options included "Melted Olaf" (aka-ice water) and "Melted Snow Monster" (a fun and fizzy blue concoction that was quite tasty)

Frozen snow castles created by pouring water and food coloring into beach pails, freezing them and placing them on a cotton ball-covered cookie sheet

Each food item offered went along adorably with the theme! Sno-Cap candies became the Snow Caps of Arendale, Anna and Elsa's kingdom

Green rock candy resembled Anna's frozen coronation gown

Blue and clear-colored rock candy on a stick served as Elsa's frozen fractals all around

No party is complete without powdered donut holes, aka "Snowballs"

Chicken and ham salad sandwiches were served as the main entreƩ and went along with Anna and Hans' favorite food choice

Who doesn't love frozen grapes???

Pretzel sticks were adorably labeled "Sven's antlers" to pay homage to everyone's favorite reindeer (besides Rudolph, that is).

And let's not forget everyone's favorite character, Olaf and his removable (cheese puff-like) nose

The pretty birthday girl posing by her Olaf poster...

My sister-in-law frosted a Blue Velvet (for obvious reasons) cake and embellished it with beautiful, blue, rock candy and Frozen character figurines

How cool is that light-up birthday candle??? And how sweet is that birthday girl?

Playing "Pin the Nose on the Olaf"---stiff competition

The bar has been set very high for Frozen-themed parties after this little shindig!

Simple and Inexpensive Party Invitation

My little pumpkin is turning 2 next month! How did that even happen?!?! We decided not to go the traditional route with invitations this year, as I wanted something unique, AND I always manage to mess something up when I attempt to design them myself online. Using this cute, chalkboard easel that I recently purchased at Michael's, I used chalk markers to decorate it with details of Claire's upcoming party and positioned her by it, in the hopes that I could catch a few sweet smiles and choose one of them to send to party guests.

I'm not gonna lie to you...it took us about 25 takes! However, I am really excited with how they turned out and have gotten quite a few compliments from guests. I ordered the chosen pose (above) in 5x5 prints from Costco and sent them on their merry way! Stay tuned for party pics in July...In the meantime, check out a few of the pics that didn't quite make the final cut, but that I absolutely adore!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday-Part 2

Many of you may have already seen the ideas posted from my niece's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-themed party. If not, check them out HERE!

As it turns out, my nephew Royce is a HUGE MMCH fan, himself (just like every other child in America), so he had himself a similarly-themed party. Here are some pics of the awesome party and the super-cute birthday boy, himself. This party even featured an appearance from the big mouse himself! Check it out...

Wooden clubhouse sign, made by my bro-in-law leading party-goers to their destination

Mickey centerpieces

Favor bags for the attending kiddos

How unbelievably cute is this Mickey cake my sister made using 6 round cakes and two cupcakes?!?!

Hot dog table and fixins displayed in Mickey bowls
Royce being introduced to Mickey...he wasn't the biggest fan of him in person, but was sooo excited Mickey came to his party after it was all said and done

Birthday Twins!!!

Today is my 32nd birthday and, as my birthday wish, I would love it if you all would simply allow me a brief opportunity to get a little mushy. You see, I have the incredible honor of sharing my birthday with my sweet, baby girl, who turned a year old today. How amazing is that?!?! On to the mushification...Claire has brought my husband and I more joy that we could ever imagine, and we are completely in awe of every accomplishment she has made in the 365 days that she has been ours! I am so humbled and honored that God chose me to be her mother and am astounded by the amount of love I feel every time she grabs my finger or flashes me a beautiful, four-toothed smile. Happy 1st Birthday, Claire Alexandra Eyer!!! I love you to the moon and back (and forth, and back, and forth...)!

Mustache 1st Birthday Bash

The sweet, handsome birthday boy

My sweet nephew turned one in September, and it has taken me until now to take the time to edit, post pics, and give this post the props it deserves. The theme of this particular party was "Mustache Bash!" I mean, does it get more amazeballs than that?!?! Here are some handmade highlights from the partay-hey!

Here's the cutie patootie birthday boy, himself in his "throne." My sissybabes ordered his onesie (complete with mustache tie on the front and "Well, if you (mustache) I'm ONE!" on the back) from Etsy.

Royce also had a mustache-shaped cake that he (obviously, from the picture just below) made quick work on chowing down!

The rest of the guests got to nosh on cupcakes embellished with...you guessed it...mustaches, courtesy of my Cricut machine and the "Mustaches and Glasses" cartridge and toothpicks

My sister had been dying to purchase personalized M&M's and couldn't resist buying them for her little man's big day. If you look closely, you will see that the candies are labeled with a mustache, the phrase "Royce is ONE!!!" and his sweet little face! You KNOW you're big time when your face is on candy, am I right???

This might have been my favorite mustache-ification of this party. We used a contraption found online called a "Crustache," which cuts one sandwich into three superb mustache shapes. Who woulda thunk? In the case of Royce's party, the little ones were able to enjoy their ham & cheese and pb&j sammies in style!

Using mustache duct tape (man, I love that stuff), water bottles were wrapped to match the theme

My crazy aunts, mama, and grandparents participating in Photo Booth funsies

Certainly, the most entertaining portion of the party was the photo booth. Mustaches and other assorted props were displayed for people to use and pose for the camera that had been set up on a tripod. Good times!!!

Even my little munchkin was not immune to mustachery!
