Mickey Mouse Gift Bucket

My sweet nephew, Royce is obsessed (actually...what do you call the level beyond obsessed??? He's that!) with Mickey Mouse and the entire Clubhouse gang, so I knew I would need to theme his birthday gift accordingly. After purchasing Mickey-themed letters to spell his name and making him a Toodles pillow, I just needed a container in which to put these gifts. I found a cute, red bucket at the Dollar Tree and jazzed it up using felt and a low-temp, glue gun to make a personalized, Mickey Mouse gift container that can be used again and again! I'm also including a printable for you to use to make one of your very own. Here's how...

Materials

-red bucket
-straight pins
-yellow, black and white felt sheets
-fabric scissors
-low-temp glue gun-glue sticks
-adhesive felt letters
Instructions

1. Print out template, cut out shapes and pin to coordinating felt sheets

2. Using a low-temp glue gun, glue buttons to the middle of the bucket, about an inch apart.
3. Glue feet to the bottom of the bucket so that they are sticking out about 3" beyond the bucket
4. Glue ears to top of bucket so that 3-4" of felt stick up above the bucket
5. Adhere letters to top rim of bucket. Using a black, permanent marker, draw four "button holes" in the middle of each button.

From start to finish, this project took me about 20 minutes. How awesome is that?!?! Enjoy!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday-Part 2

Many of you may have already seen the ideas posted from my niece's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-themed party. If not, check them out HERE!

As it turns out, my nephew Royce is a HUGE MMCH fan, himself (just like every other child in America), so he had himself a similarly-themed party. Here are some pics of the awesome party and the super-cute birthday boy, himself. This party even featured an appearance from the big mouse himself! Check it out...

How unbelievably cute is this Mickey cake my sister made using 6 round cakes and two cupcakes?!?!

Royce being introduced to Mickey...he wasn't the biggest fan of him in person, but was sooo excited Mickey came to his party after it was all said and done

Oh, Tooooodles!!!!!

I have had so many requests and questions about the Toodles pillows I have made in the past and have felt terrible turning people away, because I simply did not have the time to cut out and hand stitch all of the pieces it would involve. Well...I do believe I have found a solution that allows customers to enjoy a handmade, sturdy, Toodles pillow without costing me tons of time and potential sanity. Using a design program on my computer, I printed a design similar to the Toodles we all know and love onto quality, transfer paper and ironed the pattern onto the fabric. The pillow is machine sewn and made of felt fabric. If you are interested in this item or know someone that might be, please check out my Etsy shop HERE to purchase!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday Party!!!

The beautiful, birthday girl blowing out the candle on her Toodles cake

"M-I-C-K-E-Y...Sing it if you know it! Here are some pics of my super sweet niece, Camdyn's second birthday party, which was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-Themed! My sister-in-law put all of her creative juices into making this party FANTASTIC!!! I mean, she was NOT playing around in preparation for this shindig! My fave part of the party was the hot dog stand...you'll see why below:

My S-I-L-'s awesome and delicious Toodles cake!

Banner reads "Camdyn's TWOdles!" LOVE!!!

Rice Krispie treats shaped like Mickey and dipped in chocolate

Mickey cookies-Adhere two mini Oreos for ears to one large Oreo using icing. Dip bottom of large Oreo in white chocolate (dyed red, of course) and embellish with two white chocolate "buttons"---Brilliance!!!

A very Mickey birthday, indeed!

And here it is...the "Hot Dog Stand" created completely out of my S-I-L's mind using cardboard boxes and rolled, gray pieces of paper

The "hot dogs" themselves were made using circus peanuts, caramel candies, and red, yellow, and green icing. ADORBS!!!
